About our Beginnings: The origins of A Touch of Spain, LLC hail back to the beautiful city in Andalucia known as Granada, most famous perhaps for the Alhambra Palace. There two students met for the first time--a young American exchange student, and a Spaniard finishing up his studies at the local university. After a courtship which spanned several years and two continents, the couple married.
After numerous trips to Spain to visit family, the American tired of dragging back her Spanish treasures by airplane, particularly when she finally got home to discover that her prize pottery was broken. Thus an idea was born: to seek out the most beautiful treasures that Spain has to offer and bring them to the American people, so that they too could appreciate fine Spanish craftsmanship, an art that is a dying breed in this day and age.
In 2003 the company was formed, and was warmly received. A Touch of Spain hopes that you too will enjoy the beauty that Spain has to offer!
